This recipe
has a fluffy egg texture; like a quiche, it is filled with hearty cheeseburger
flavor. You can add a slight drizzle of mustard and ketchup when you serve the
cheeseburger pie with a nice green salad as a side dish.
Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds
lean ground beef
1 cup diced
onions
2 slices of
bacon diced
3 large eggs
1 cup evaporated
milk
3
tablespoons all-purpose flour
3
tablespoons dry ranch seasoning
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 ℉
2. Use a 9-inch deep pie dish, place the crust in the dish, and then place it on a baking sheet pan for easy handling.
3. In a large non-stick sauté pan on medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add ground beef, diced bacon, and onions to pan; let brown for 5-7 minutes, stirring to crumble meat, or until no pink remains.
4. Drain meat, set aside, and let cool.
5. Whisk eggs, milk, flour, and ranch seasonings in a large bowl until blended. Stir in meat and cheese, then spoon into pie crust.
6. Place the pie into the oven and let bake for about 30 - 40 minutes or until the center of the pie is set. Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes to cool. Then ready to serve with a nice green salad as a side dish.
